After winning many compliments and hearts with her real life Cinderella doll look last year at the event, looks like Aishwarya Rai has once again banked on designer Michael Cinco this time. And we must say, HELL YES, she made the right decision.
Cinco has apparently designed the couture gown in a way to reflect the impalpable dream of a butterfly’s metamorphosis. Of course, he knew the value of the bollywood star, Aishwarya Rai, who is an ideal representation of the butterfly. Breaking through the shackles and flying out to win life her own way.
Are we impressed with the butterfly dress? And how gracefully Aishwarya Rai is seen to adorn it? Without doubt, the answer is yes and yes.
The intricate details of the butterfly dress have our heads spinning. This is what the Dubai-based designer has put into this gorgeous dress: Entirely covered in Swarovski and French palettes, the dress is a beautiful blend of midnight blue, ultra violet and deep red thread works. The cherry on the top is the 20-foot attached train that follows this gorgeous lady that imitates a butterfly emerging gracefully from its chrysalis. Aishwarya Rai’s figure is perfectly complemented by the body-hugging silhouette and sweetheart neckline.
Given all of these complex designs, it is of no doubt that a lot of planning, hard work and time was put into making this beauty. Cinco reveals that it took about 3000 hours to complete this butterfly dress.
The initial thought behind this crystal covered gown was created by Cinco for the Swarovski exhibition. However, with the Bollywood actresses sense of fashion, she helped in converting it into her own style.
The designer is said to have worked very closely with Aishwarya Rai in order to get the perfect fit for this dazzling butterfly dress. They went through many minor alterations to perfect the look and Accenture according to the curvy beauty’s figure.
Aishwarya Rai has picked Mickael Cinco’s original for the second time in a row for this grand event. Last year, she made a dazzling entry with a frosty blue ball gown looking like a princess. Of course, the comparisons between the two are inevitable. And we are stuck, without being able to choose between the two.
Cinco has a lot to say about this stunning desi beauty. He feels she reflects a sense of empowerment through her fashion sense and carries it out with ease and panache. What more can we say, other than that Cinco and Aishwarya Rai have proved to be a great combination of designer and muse duo with back to back hits with the looks at the Cannes red carpet.
