There is a quote that says “Men age like wine, and women age like milk”. However, this quote doesn’t necessarily have to stand true if you look after yourself. The first step towards looking young is to stay fit. You have 24 hours a day and still don’t find time to sneak in an exercise? Come on, we all know that’s an excuse. The actual reason is that you lack motivation and the good news is that we are here to help. Here are a few ways that you can help yourself get motivated and get in shape for the long term:
- Don’t consider it as work –it only gets tiring if you consider it as a work to do. Consider exercise as play, tell yourself this is what you enjoy doing and watch your thoughts change.
- Hit up a good playlist – music does magic in several ways and for exercise it definitely does. Download all your favorite pumped up songs in your music system and enjoy them as you work out. Music definitely makes it a lot easier.
- Make it a part of your routine – do you brush everyday? Yes. Do you sleep every night? Yes. Do you eat three meals a day? Yes. Do you find it hard doing all these things? No. There’s the trick! Make your work out session a part of your daily routine and it won’t be hard anymore. In fact, you might just find it hard or your body stiff if you don’t work out a day later on.
Trust us, it is hard in the beginning. But once you are in the groove, there is nothing stopping you. Everyone has their own ways to motivate themselves to get into better shape, you just have to find yours and make it work.
